Are you a Researcher or Evaluator who would enjoy working in public health to inform local and national policy and practice at population health level? If yes, this is an exciting opportunity to join the multi-disciplinary Research and Evaluation Division, within the newly formed Knowledge Directorate of Public Health Wales.
These roles are a recent investment to strengthen the capacity and skills within the division to accelerate progress across our long-term strategic plan and our new Research and Evaluation Strategy. With a focus on agile working, multi-disciplinary approaches (quantitative, qualitative and health economics) these roles will be joining a team that is working towards high impact outputs aligned to Public Health Wales Strategic Priorities and the wider policy landscape in Wales.
As a Research and Evaluation Officer, the ideal candidate will bring skills that help to generate knowledge and evidence for action and influence partners on key public health topics. You will have experience of establishing and implementing research and/or evaluation within complex multi-year development programmes, preferably focussed on public health or a healthcare programme/policy area. You will have exceptional quantitative and qualitative data processing and analysis skills, as well as strong communication skills to discuss technical research/evaluation issues and results effectively. The role will require you to develop research/evaluation objectives and proposals for PHW Strategic Priority programmes or services (including research funding proposals) and you will be required to work independently to project manage your workload effectively, therefore excellent organisational skills are required.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
