Cambridge Institute of Public Health, School of Clinical Medicine, generates knowledge and evidence to improve global public health, using our research, teaching and analysis to promote well-being, prevent disease and reduce health inequalities. The Public Health@Cambridge (PH@C) network, which is led by CIPH is one of the University's strategic research networks which work to encourage research collaborations across the University.
The overall purpose of this role is to organise, manage and deliver policy development activities for the Cambridge Institute of Public Health (CIPH), Public Health England (National and East of England) and the PublicHealth@Cambridge Network. The post-holder will develop a policy engagement plan and deliver engagement activities for selected research teams with selected groups of local and national policymakers within a tight timescale, responding to academic priorities and policy requirements. Developing and managing relationships with stakeholders within and outside the University is an important aspect of this role, as is taking an active role in communicating and promoting CIPH and Network activities.
You should be educated to degree level in a scientific or policy related discipline or have equivalent practical experience. You should have a solid understanding of public health research, policy and practice and experience of funding and grant application processes. You should have excellent IT skills and organisational skills. You will have experience of project management and writing for editorial and promotional purposes.
The hours for this position are 18.5 per week (50% FTE) - working days to be agreed.
