The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Health Protection Research Unit (HPRU) in Emerging and Zoonotic Infections, was established at the University of Liverpool in 2014 with £4M funding to support Public Health England in protecting the UK from emerging infections.We are seeking to appoint a Research Fellow to support the evaluation of the real-world impact of the NIHR Health Protection Research Unit Emerging and Zoonotic Infections (HPRU EZI). The aim of the post is to evaluate the extent to which the HPRU is making a demonstrable and valuable contribution to society, in terms of its contribution to the health agenda, and to future welfare through influencing health Policy in a beneficial manner. You will examine the health economic impact and added value of some of the major projects, as well as the HPRU more broadly. Individuals from a range of disciplinary backgrounds with strength in health economics, or related subjects, quantitative and modelling skills and the desire to get involved in applied translational research in the area of Global Health are encouraged to apply. You will work in a stimulating, interdisciplinary environment on a range of projects at the cutting edge of health protection research.
