New call for Clinical Research Time Award applications

Health and Care Research Wales is pleased to announce that the 2019 round of Clinical Research Time Awards (CRTA) will open on 5 September 2019.

To support this the Public Health Wales R&D Office will be hosting a Clinical Research Time Award seminar on Monday 30th September. The seminar will includes presentations from Sarah Jones and Lim Jones who are both successful PHW applicants along with the Research Design and Conduct Service (RDCS)

The scheme is open to staff in NHS Wales, or staff contracted to NHS Wales (such as doctors, dentists, nurses, midwives, allied health professionals and clinical scientists) in primary, secondary or community care or public health.
It aims to build research capacity and capability in the NHS by offering staff the opportunity to apply for protected time to engage in research activity.

Applicants should have a clear interest in developing their research skills and should aspire to becoming either a Principal Investigator, leading high-quality research at a local level, or a Chief Investigator, developing and leading high-quality research studies at a national or international level.

The application window opens on Monday 5 September 2019 and closes at 17:00 on Thursday 17 October 2019.
