Putting Healthier Wales into practice - next steps for health and social care integration in Wales

Jurys Inn Cardiff, 1 Park Place, Cardiff CF10 3DN

The timely seminar will bring together policymakers and key stakeholders to discuss proposals in A Healthier Wales - which sets out goals for improved public health, care increasingly being kept out of hospitals and closer to home, and greater involvement of people and their loved ones in shaping their individual care.

Delegate will discuss implementation, assessing how the practical issues of delivering services can be addressed, and how the Welsh Government's £100m transformation plan should be deployed.

Further discussion will focus on the role of the Regional Partnership Boards (RPBs) in creating and promoting innovative new models of care.

With the seminar taking place as each RFP is required to identify and implement two seamless models of local care services and prepare them for inspection, this will be an opportunity to consider examples of best practice, how these might be enhanced, and the lessons to be learnt for wider adoption.

Further sessions focus on how the health and social care system as a whole can be prepared for delivering these new models, including workforce development, infrastructure and funding.
