Opportunities to co-create and deliver meaningful short breaks for carers: integrating research and practice

22 Mar

Conwy Business Centre, Llandudno Junction

Carers frequently cite access to short breaks as something that could make a positive difference to their everyday lives and supporting a life alongside caring is now one of three Welsh Government priority areas for carers.

There are exciting opportunities to co-create and deliver meaningful short breaks for carers informed by a strong research evidence base. With this in mind, you are invited to attend and participate in a half-day event that provides opportunities for:

  • Exchanging and prioritising research ideas on short breaks
  • Shaping the research vision of a newly established UK-wide Short Breaks Research and Practice Development Group
  • Building practice/academic collaborations
  • Networking with a diverse range of people with an interest in short breaks
  • Sharing good practice

This event is co-hosted by the Wales Centre for Ageing and Dementia Research and the Wales School for Social Care Research.
