Claudine graduated from King’s College London with a BSc (Hons) Pharmacology. After graduation, Claudine worked in London as an editor on biomedical journals and in a medical communications agency before undertaking an masters in Science, Culture and Communication at the University of Bath.
On completion, Claudine joined the Wales Gene Park at Cardiff University to develop an innovative engagement programme and led a number of research projects exploring the public’s views of the potential impact of advances in genetic technologies, working closely with policy and decision makers. Afterwards, Claudine joined Research Councils UK as a Policy Manager with responsibility for managing UK-wide programmes to increase the societal and business impact of research and developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with other organisations to help embed public involvement in research into academia.
Since leaving RCUK, she has been working as Academic and Research Business Manager at Public Health Wales in the Research and Evaluation Division, which includes providing business management for academic research project and posts; contributing to the development of new research programmes and strategies within Public Health Wales; and supporting the academic elements of the Specialty Registrars training programme.
