Laura graduated from Cardiff University in 2010 with a BSc (Hons) in Social Science. Since graduating, Laura has worked within the NHS for over 5 years in an administrative role where she has gained a wide range of experience through positions that have included working as a Clerical Officer in a Physiotherapy and Podiatry Outpatient Department and for Powys teaching Health Board as a member of the All Wales Retrospective Continuing NHS Health Care Review Project team.

Laura began working in Public Health Wales NHS Trust in April 2014 as an Administration and Resources Officer, providing secretarial support to the Research and Development team and assisting the Research and Development Office with the administration of NHS Research Permission applications. She gained promotion within the Policy, Research and International Development Directorate to Research and Development Governance Officer in October 2014, where she is now responsible for co-ordinating Public Health Wales’ Research and Development project registration, review and approvals process, and for providing advice and support to researchers both internal and external to Public Health Wales on research governance issues.
