Kate joined Public Health Wales as a Senior Research and Evaluation Officer in August 2019. Prior to her appointment in Public Health Wales, she studied for a PhD at Bangor University. This examined the effectiveness of utilising Positive Psychology Interventions to improve psychological well-being, workplace motivation and re-employment prospects in four counties in North Wales. Kate also holds an MSc in Consumer Psychology and a BSc in Psychology, both from Bangor University, and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Her main research interests lie in population health and well-being, specifically improving health behaviours and the prevention of mental health disorders
